Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. How do I integrate Dialovo with my VoIP service?
First, create an options menu by going to "My options pages" above and then, please refer to one of the menus below to integrate Dialovo with the number for your VoIP number for your business. If you do not have a VoIP service yet, please register for one. It takes only a few minutes.

Please Note: The following VoIP services listed above are labelled RECOMMENDED because they offer native SMS functionality. However, even if a service does not have native SMS functionality like Ooma or Nextiva, they can still be integrated with Dialovo. They will simply require a webhook to a service that does offer that SMS. Therefore, it is not necessary for you to switch to a recommended service. Additionally, these do not encompass all the VoIP services out there, but should cover most of the biggest providers. We are constantly updating this list. However, any one of the recommended guides should give you the main ideas of what you need to do to integrate Dialovo with your VoIP service.
2. If I don't have a VoIP service for my business, can I still integrate Dialovo for my company?
Yes! You absolutely can! We have not forgotten about you! Here is how you would do it:
Step1: Choose a service that does offer SMS feature as part of its IVR system, ideally one of the recommended VoIP systems above (please click on the guide for the service you want).
Step 2: Set up the opening message to your phone menu: "Welcome. Please press 1 to receive a link to the options menu to get connected to the right deparment more quickly. Otherwise, please hold" (Or whatever message you feel is best).
Step 3: If the caller presses 1, redirect the caller to dial the other number that you signed up for in step 1 that does have SMS capability where the caller hears "Okay, you should have received a text message with a link to our options menu. Goodbye" and configure that number to play that message and send a text message with the Dialovo link to whoever dials that number.
Step 4: You're Done! Just like that, you are all set. For most of the VoIP services, SMS messages are relatively inexpensive. Please do not miss out just because you don't currently have a VoIP!
3. Do I need to learn how to code to set it up?
Absolutely not! There are many VoIP options such as Twilio and GoToConnect where you can customize the IVR (Interative Voice Response) system (or phone menu, in other words) with not code at all! We cannot emphasize this enough, you do not need much technical expertise to set this up for yourself and your business.
4. How long does it take to set it up?
Obviously, it depends on which VoIP service you use, or whether you are currently on traditional landline. That being said, for the most part, it should take less than 30 minutes. However, you would have to submit a very short and quick form called A2P 10DLC so that you can have your SMS campaign approved as part of your Dialovo integration. That can take anywhere between 1-3 weeks for the most part. However, you do not have to put in any work for those 1-3 weeks, and once you are approved, you are ready to go.
5. How can I generate a QR code for the Dialovo link to put on my website?
There are several unique QR code generators available online. You can find them on any search engine of your choice.
6. How deep can I make the options menu? Is there a pay barrier beyond a certain number of submenus?
No pay barrier. Make as many options pages as you want. Create as many submenus as you want. Go crazy. It's all free.
7. Can I edit the link to my options page?
That is a really awesome idea. Unfortunately, we do not have that feature built in right now. However, that feature is coming in the very near future!
